I heard this medicine has great benefits when it comes to helping one release unconscious patterns, release emotional attachments, and also other spiritual benefits, and as Kambo is not a psychedelic/hallucinogenic, I felt drawn to it and thought the experience would only bring positive outcomes. I was trepidatious prior to my first Kambo ceremony.  After reading what to expect from various sources, I completely forgot about the small surface-skin burn that is involved until I was physically at the ceremony; obviously, this was not a deterrent for me.  My apprehension surrounded the unknowns:  not knowing what it would feel like, how my body would respond, and wondering how long the effects would last until I felt physically grounded again.  After speaking with Raymond via phone, my mind was put to ease and I felt I was in "good hands".  This is truly a medicine that invites one to physically surrender.

I sincerely appreciate that Raymond makes the experience a CEREMONIAL one around this sacred medicine.  As I am accustomed to respecting medicine with offerings, prayers, songs, mindful intention and balance, the ways in which Raymond opens us up to receiving this medicine are truly a rare blessing.

Physically speaking (as spiritual shifts are ever-evolving), I was "Okay" after about 30 minutes and able to drive, eat, etc.  It is definitely a "body" experience.  After day one, the two areas wherein I received the Kambo felt like a bee sting for about 8 hours and then the pain went away. I felt inspired and invigorated, albeit, also hungry.  I kept my diet only fresh fruit, vegetables, and fish with no caffeine (skipped my morning coffee, as I figured the increased heart rate from coffee would not a be a good thing to combine with the increased heart rate from the Kambo).  After day two, there was very little discomfort after the ceremony; not at all like the first day.  After day three, I received 3 on my lower back and thought I would definitely feel it afterwards, but did not.  During my 2 hour drive home, no pain and was able to sleep on my back without pain that very night.  Physically speaking, all 3 days, I could feel the Kambo working in my lower gut during the 30 minutes of receiving, and on day 4 (no ceremony), I noticed a difference in my bowel movements and the way my body digests food. Day 4 was a magical day for me.  I felt connected to my environment and nature; very inspired and invigorated ... "mind chatter" that was typically present has not been there.  I noticed on the morning of day 5, when getting out of bed first thing in the morning, I typically have a small "kink" in my lower back and every morning, I work it out ... this "kink" was not there on the morning of day 5. My skin and eyes are full of vitality.

I feel a deeper connection to mySelf.  I can still hear the prayer songs in my mind and this is a comfort for me. I am excited to experience what is to come from this ceremony.
